1. Agreement
By creating an account or using pmdox ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use pmdox. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
- No unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.
- No attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits.
- No automated scraping or resale of Service output.
- No use of the Service to train competing AI models.
- No upload of protected health information (PHI), payment card data (PCI), or other regulated categories that require certifications we do not hold.
4. AI-Generated Output
pmdox uses Google AI Studio (Gemini) as its sole large-language-model provider to power doxAssist (document generation), doxChat (project chat), doxScan (integrity checks), upload extraction, and questionnaire assist. Output is provided as-is and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or fabrications. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before relying on it for business, legal, financial, safety, or regulatory decisions. See our AI Disclosure for details.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you own the documents you generate using your own project inputs. We claim no ownership over your project content or generated output.
5. Service Availability & Export Controls
pmdox is offered globally except in jurisdictions where it would be unlawful or impractical to provide. You may not access or use the Service from any country, region, or entity subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States (OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the United Nations — currently including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
The Service is also not offered to users located in mainland China or the Russian Federation, where local data-localisation laws conflict with our operating model. Access from these regions may be blocked at the network edge.
6. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds
- pmdox offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you also accept Stripe's terms for payment processing. Card details are entered directly into Stripe — pmdox never sees or stores your card number.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, as selected) until cancelled. Plan quotas reset on a rolling 30-day window from the start of your current billing period.
- You can change, pause, or cancel your plan at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you retain access until then.
- Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features until the balance is settled.
- Prices, plan limits, and included features may change with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers, communicated by email and in-app.
6a. Email & Notification Communications
As part of operating the Service we send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, security alerts, billing receipts), the weekly project digest, and optional notification emails you enable in Settings → Notifications. Transactional and billing emails are required to provide the Service and cannot be disabled while your account is active. You can turn optional notifications and the weekly digest on or off at any time from Settings → Notifications, or by using the unsubscribe link included in each such email.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, branding, and template content, is owned by pmdox and its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service.
8. Confidentiality of Your Content
We process the project content you submit only to provide the Service. See the Privacy Policy and Sub-processors page for details on storage, providers, and retention.
9. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pmdox's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify pmdox against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Account removal.
13. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta, Canada. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days in advance.
